Job Description

Sitec are currently looking to recruit a SHE Advisor for our client a Multi-National M & E Install company, the work will be based at a private nuclear MoD establishment near Reading. This post is initially for a 6-12 month and is paying competitively on an hourly basis up to £35 per hour LTD.

To support M & E Contracts, Install, Live Electrical/Mechanical Systems, General Health and Site Safety and working procedures

As a Health & Safety Advisor to:
* Ensure compliance and personal accountability
* Ensure safe, secure and clean operations
* Ensure appropriate and timely governance
* Deliver business outputs and exceed expectations
* Develop the right culture and encourage continuous improvement
* Develop our people and their capability
* Support each other in delivering for the client
* Ensure processes and standards that can be planned and measured are available to deliver the requirements of construction related projects

Specific Accountabilities
Safe, Secure & Clean
* Contributes to a culture of zero accidents and incidents relating to occupational and personal safety, security, health and environmental issues
* Communicating to staff and contractors the importance of meeting customer, statutory, regulatory and internal requirements
* Ensuring that company strategies, policy and management system requirements are communicated and understood
* Provide occupational health & safety advice to the clients Construction Management Department
* Manage projects ensuring suitable resources are in place to support the delivery programme

Qualifications
* NEBOSH Certificate
* NEBOSH Construction Certificate
* IOSH Managing Safely

Knowledge
* Preferred knowledge of BSI OHSAS 18001 and HS (G) 65
* Current Health & Safety legislation applicable to construction (in particular the Construction (Design & Management Regulations 2007)
* Corporate Quality & Safety Management systems
* NII licence conditions and the Corporate Arrangements

Willing and able to obtain and maintain a high level of security clearance necessary for the role
