Job Description

Sitec has a new requirement for Purchaser for our client based in Filton, Bristol. This is a contract role for an estimated 6 months and the max rate of pay is £24 p/hr Ltd.

Purchaser Tasks to be completed

* Contract negotiation and management
* Manage multi-functional team through the procurement process for Call for Tenders
* Analyse tenders and support recommendation resulting from call for tender
* Participate and support in the roll out of new processes and initiatives and periodic review with of supplier performance with multi-functional team
* Management of claims received and back claims in accordance with contractual provisions and internal processes
* Support in data gathering and analysis of current market, existing suppliers and potential new entrants
* Identify and assess supplier risk across all performance metrics (eg time cost quality) and lead / supports any improvement initiatives as required

* Introduce/control supplier development and initiatives concerning the current delivery performance

Purchaser Work results:

* Management, reporting and conclusion of contractual claims in a timely manner
* Evaluation and analysis of tenders and selection recommendations to internal stake holders
* Management of contracts, amendments and other binding agreements
* Provide regular reporting and action plans to internal stake holders. Support supplier performance and quality characteristics, internal/external, national/international process improvements on supplier performance
* Focal point for contract management

Purchaser Essential Skillset/Experience required:

* Contractual governance, negotiation and award
* Management of tendering activities including - Analyse and award recommendation and presentation to stake holders
* Confidence in negotiating contractual terms and conditions and commercial claims with senior supplier representatives
* Use of risk management tools and methodologies to capture, categorise and assess impact of supply chain risks and opportunities
Experience of working in international / multi-cultural multi-functional teams at all levels within the organisation and supply base
Monitoring of suppliers through key performance indicators and implementation of recovery actions to address delinquent supplier performance (eg time cost quality)
* Experience of use in SAP for creation and maintenance of master data, call up agreements and discreet purchase orders
