Exciting opportunity for an experienced P6 Project Planner to work on a portfolio of projects within the Fawley Refinery, Hampshire.
This is a long term client facing role. (Standard working week of 38 hours)
Rate: Available upon request.
To provide full, efficient and effective project planning services.
Develop & produce reporting systems, measuring schedule against actual progress, "S" Curves, resource profiles & critical path analysis.
Identify interfaces with other plans and local work programmes and manage potential conflict.
Advise & agree any corrective actions required to maintain individual project schedules.
Use a Primavera planning tool to build up integrated networks for multiple projects to enable individual & overall group analysis.
Review contractor developed schedules for specific projects & work packages.
Develop & maintain Resource Loading Lookahead for field execution work involving site based contractors plus owner technician resources.
Monitor project schedule metrics and advise improvement actions; comparison of projects' actual schedule performance against benchmark standards with a view to seeking ways to continuously reduce total project cycle time.
Provide input in to job scope definition, labour & resource requirements for cost estimation purposes.
Monitor material orders and track expected delivery dates.
Participate in training related to planning & scheduling practices, tools, and systems.
Understand and be proficient in modern planning techniques including networks & critical path analysis.
Technical background in a major project discipline; (civil, mechanical, instrument or electrical) equivalent to professional qualification.
Start subject to employment screening and mandatory A&D test.
