Job Description

Sitec have urgent roles for experienced Pipe Fitters to work at Devonport Dockyard in Plymouth. These are contract positions with an estimated duration of 6 Months initially.


Apprenticeship Indentures. Craftsmanship Certificates, NVQ level 3 or City & Guilds Level 3
(This could be in Plumbing or Pipefitting as Plumbers quite often progress to Pipefitter)
  • Pipe Fitting Duties as required on Warships and Submarines
  • Ship Re-fits and Maintenance
  • Cleaning up of own work arising.
  • Any other task within the individual's competence as directed by the Company.

About the role

You'll remove, overhaul and install a variety of equipment which could include hydraulics, weapons, water and fuel systems and LP/HP air, among other assets. Working to engineering drawings and technical specifications, you'll also in install and align new equipment and carry out system and equipment functional tests and surveys.

Devonport Royal Dockyard are looking for Pipefitters to join the team that is at the forefront of supporting the Royal Navy fleet. You'll play an integral role in ensuring the serviceability of warships and systems through detailed maintenance and refit periods by working within multi-trade teams.

Must have a background that will allow Security Clearance to be obtained
