Belcan currently have a unique opportunity for an experienced Aerodynamics Noise & Acoustics engineer to join our client as an affiliate on a 5th Generation Fighter programme currently in development.
This unique opportunity is based in Ankara Turkey. The programme is expected to last a number of years and offers an amazing package with excellent rates and accommodation.
Would you like to provide engineering expertise in Aerodynamics to design and develop an air vehicle?
The role involves being part of a team responsible for developing the modelling and simulations to be used in the Noise and Acoustics process, and then use these as the basis for carrying out the work for this new generation combat aircraft
The aircraft is in the very early stages of design and this role will provide an opportunity to be at the heart of, and influencing, the development of this exciting project.
You will be working in a multi-national team interfacing with a wide spectrum of specialist engineers across the project
Your main responsibilities as an Aerodynamics Noise and Acoustics specialist will involve:
Plan and deliver assigned work (own and any supervised staff) to cost and schedule to meet customer and business needs
The technical content of the work (own and by supervised staff), including deliverables, is acceptable to the customer and utilises the most efficient engineering methods available.
Ensure all work is compatible with quality policies and that procedures are followed
Ensure effective interactions and communications with customers, suppliers and others, to promote the best interests of the team, project and company
Actively contribute to development, and team expertise, to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Your skills and qualifications:
A degree in Acoustics Engineering
Alternatively, consideration will be given to good candidates with a degree in STEM subjects particularly Aeronautical, Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical engineering, or Maths, or Physics with an emphasis on acoustics.
Several year's industrial application experience
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a good working knowledge
· Fundamental acoustic principles
· Signal processing
· Noise control
· Test specification
· Measurement and instrumentation
· Acoustic simulation / prediction
Additionally a sound analytical approach and the ability to apply this to problem solving including
· Matlab and programming experience
