Job Description

Our client is a 10 year old technical service company based at South West London has five key technical areas of business function:-Technical Safety, Operational Technology, OT Cyber Security, Engineering & Consultancy. They provide technical services across the full life-cycle of industrial assets across oil&Gas and the Utilities sectors.

Due to continued growth our client is looking to employ an entry-level OT Cyber Security Consultant with a degree or master's degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, Cyber Security, Industrial Engineering) to support us across OT cyber security projects within Oil & Gas, Utilities, Automotive and Manufacturing projects. Our client works across all stages of the life cycle of a project from design to commissioning, offering variety and the chance to work with a multi-disciplinary team including Operational Technology, Functional Safety and Digital Transformation.

The job will be based out of our clients office overlooking the Thames in Mortlake, South West London, on a full-time basis.

It is expected that the candidate will learn and become familiar with OT cyber security processes and practices and will gain experience of industrial automation and information systems.

Areas of learning and experience to be gained include:

  • Information security governance
  • Cyber security risk assessment
  • Incident response
  • System hardening
  • Vulnerability management

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

  • Degree educated in a relevant discipline
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • High level awareness of UK Security regulation
  • Awareness of current cyber security risks and methodologies
  • Awareness of industrial control
  • Excellent IT skills
  • Willingness to learn
  • Evidence of a 'can-do' attitude and strong academic performance
