This will includes the raising and control of Non-Conformance Reports against complaints.

The Quality Assurance Engineer's role includes, NCR Management, Collate AIT build reconciliations and open points (e.g. open work orders), at project level, Chair AIT gate reviews (MRR, IRR), Ensure open actions from KIPs and MIPs are managed and tracked during all AIT phases, Manage 2nd closures, Carry out audits, Support deployment of OES improvement projects, Chair post-test reviews for functional verification activities, Co-ordinate FMEA reviews to proactively define and manage AIT risk, Review key manufacturing documentation for technical and quality integrity, CofC Signatory Authority for kits, Continual assessment of technician training in line with skills matrix.

Mechanical Satellite Technician

The role of Mechanical Satellite Technician includes, To work as a member of an AIT Operations team to consistently produce items which conform to all quality requirements in accordance with the production plan, To work to the required process standard as dictated by the relevant area skills matrix, To mentor when required with certain products, activities, Ability to read and work to shop floor documentation such as routings, drawing, work instructions and bills of material, Responsible for the completion of all paperwork relating to the operations undertaken, including traceability stamps and recording any other additional information as required and Responsible for working to and complying with standard processes, specific area requirements and health and safety requirements ( COSHH ).
Mechanical Satellite Engineer
To provide Assembly Integration and test (AIT) mechanical engineering support based on robust processes, activity control sheets (ACSs) and procedures, for the assembly and integration of earth, navigation and scientific spacecraft. Supporting spacecraft environmental testing including thermal, vibration, payload deployment, and shock testing. Supporting spacecraft launch activities at launch site including spacecraft handling and coordination of mechanical ground support equipment (MGSE). Leading the design, manufacture and procurement of MGSE for use during spacecraft AIT. Resolving non-conformance to the design.
