Sitec has an exciting opportunity for an Electronic Systems Engineer for our client Perkins Engines, at their site in Peterborough. This is a contract role, for an estimated 24 months initially.
The Advanced Components & Technologies (AC&T) division, based in Peterborough (UK), have a number of exiting opportunities to join the team to contribute to the design and development of electrical and electronic control systems for Caterpillar engine and machine prime products developed and produced in Europe.
key skills and competencies for Electronic Systems Engineer role:
- Degree-qualified engineer with experience in the broad range of systems engineering activities involved in the development of machine and diesel engine control systems.
- Demonstrated experience of:
- Collecting customer requirements
- Documenting technical specifications
- Developing features and integrating them in machine or engine embedded software (e.g. throttle, display support, fan control)
- Completion of a verification testing.
Desirable key skills and competencies:
- D-Space or NI test bench experience
Ideal candidates for the Electronic Systems Engineer role will have a background in Diesel engine or off-highway machine control system development (or comparable experience with automotive, marine or military vehicle control systems)
