Job Description

Sitec are currently looking to recruit an Electrical Designer for a Nuclear Fuel Manufacturing Plant in Lancashire. The post is an estimated 12 month contract and is paying competitively on an hourly basis.

Electrical Designer / Draughtsperson required for design modifications to existing plant.
To have a bias towards chemical engineering working as part of a design team in the development and delivery of design proposals from conception through to final hand-over. This will involve the generation of equipment specifications, tender initiation and assessment, detail design, commissioning documentation and hand-over documentation in accordance with project time-scales. Required to visit plant and produce AutoCAD drawings for review by the Design Engineer.

The applicant is to be proficient in the design of chemical plant and services. Must have experience of working within multidiscipline teams engaged in the design and construction of chemical process plants. Nuclear site experience preferred. Ideal candidates will be proficient with AutoCAD and be HNC/HND/degree qualified and with relevant engineering Chemical plant experience.

The scope of the design /engineering service required will cover equipment from electrical distribution; control system design of PLC controlled plant machinery (material handling) through to instrumentation on chemical processes. Designated work packages will be completed to appropriate standards of quality and safety whilst meeting programme targets.
