Sitec are currently recruiting for Cavendish Nuclear a wholly owned subsidiary of the Babcock group and are currently seeking an EC&I Technician to be based at Torness Power Station in Dunbar Scotland but travel to other EdF AGR stations will be a requirement of this role. This is a contract role for an estimated 6 months initially.
The role of the EC&I Technician will be to:
Support site operations, minor maintenance, repairs and modifications to the Graphite Core Inspection Equipment.
Support the Torness Re-furbish Spares programme.
The role will primarily be based at Torness Nuclear Power Station but there will be requirements to support other station within the EDF AGR Fleet which will require being based at for period of time at an alternative station and shift working.
Competencies Required of the EC&I Technician:
Recognised Training Scheme or Apprenticeship (i.e. NASEC/CITB/Company Training Scheme).
Successful completion of current IEE Regulations Training (e.g. C&G 2382-10 or 2382-20) (as appropriate).
Site Installation/Maintenance experience (preferred) in Nuclear Industry/Power Generation.
CCNSG, Safety Passport.
Will be expected to complete the following training if not already qualified:
Nominated Competent Person E&M.
Competent Person NR.
Candidates must hold or be eligible to obtain a CTC security check and will be required to be a Nuclear classified worker.
