Job Description

Sitec are currently looking to recruit a Business and IT Risk Analyst for a nuclear MoD establishment in Reading. The post is for an estimated 6 month contract and is paying competitively on an hourly basis.

Providing SME business analysis support to the creation of a cyber-risk assessment Service

Accountable for:
* Ensuring that the client understands the cyber risks that it faces and has the ability to take risk based decisions in relation to these

Responsible for:
* Maintaining and promoting high personal standards in environment, safety, health, security and quality
* Discovering and documenting as is risk processes and modelling to be processes
* Preforming gap analysis and recommending suitable solutions to achieve desired endstates
* Working closely with the business to understand dependencies upon IT and information flows vital to BAU activities
* Proving clear process documentation and mapping
* Proactively communicating findings and collaborating with parts to the business to ensure that he level of associated risk is understood
* Consistently demonstrates positive behaviours in relation to environment, safety, health, security and quality in line with the 'Our ESH Culture' framework
* Embraces and anticipates the need for change continually seeking new ways of working to improve results
* Helps others to see the future positively and get practical support to operate in the changed conditions
* Understands impact of personal style and encourages feedback from others to develop performance
* Handles difficult people and tense situations with diplomacy and tact
* Co-operates and builds relationships in the immediate work group
* Builds the confidence, pride and self-esteem of those around them

* Experience of business analysis within both MoD and commercial environments
* An ability to understand business needs in relation to IT services and conducting gap analysis
* An ability to recognise the impact of business change on existing processes and functions
* Experience of identifying and dealing with cyber risk and using established risk management processes
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* A suitable business analyst qualification or certification is highly desirable
* A qualification in a recognised risk management standard or technique such as IS1&2, IRAM, ISO31000 highly desirable but not essential

* Willing and able to obtain and maintain the appropriate level of security clearance necessary for the role
