Job Description

Sitec are currently looking to recruit an Analyst/Developer for a Nuclear Decommissioning site in Cumbria. The post is an estimated 12 month + contract and is paying competitively up to £45.00 per hour Ltd for a 37.5 hour week.

Successful applicants will be required to undergo a Basic Check clearance prior to appointment.

Description
The .Net Analyst/Developer must operate as an effective member of an agile development team who will be collectively responsible for meeting the goals of the CNMAS project.

The team member will be expected to operate across the full software lifecycle and possess skills focused around the Microsoft .Net toolset.

The CNMAS Phase 2 project is a major regulatory and commercial project and the objective is to replace and interface with nuclear material accountancy systems across the site.

The CNMAS application is being developed by an in-house development team consisting of .Net developers, testers and a business support team.

The project is using the Scrum framework to help enable delivery of the functionality to meet the user requirements.

Objective
As a .Net developer you will be required to work as a member of a dynamic team developing, testing and implementing features based on the scope which is controlled by the product owner.

Job Deliverables
The main deliverable for the CNMAS Project are to replace and interface with existing nuclear material accountancy systems to the satisfaction of regulatory requirements.

The .Net developer will support this delivery by developing, testing and implementing functionality to meet these requirements.

The Analyst/Developer will be expected to deliver functionality, as agreed at the start of each SCRUM sprint cycle, by the end of the Sprint. The Scope of work will be as defined in the Product Backlog, prioritised by the Product Owner based on prevailing business need and risks.

The Analyst/Developer will be expected to work to agreed coding standards, as set out by the development team (reviewed on an ongoing basis).

The Analyst/Developer will be expected to interact with end users and business representatives to refine requirements.

The Analyst/Developer will be expected to present, to other project team members and business representatives, as and when appropriate.

The Analyst/Developer will be expected with work within the SCRUM framework as directed by the Project Manager and Scrum Master.

The Analyst/Developer will be expected to provide application support. Currently this is within business hours but may in the future extend to out of hours support.

Essential & Desirable Skills
* Microsoft .Net, MVC, C#, databases
* Experience in an scrum development team;
* Analyse business experience
* Estimation of requirements and tasks
* Work to agreed coding standards
* Participated in code reviews in an open and honest manner
* Be able to Manage bug reports to completion
* Be able to Research and make technology recommendations (including planning for upgrades of existing technology)
* Good Communication Skills

Qualifications
* Microsoft .Net and Oracle Toolset experience
* Experience in an agile development team;
* Business analysis/requirements experience
* Estimation of requirements and tasks
* Work to agreed coding standards
* Participated in code reviews in an open and honest manner
* Be able to Manage bug reports to completion
* Be able to Research and make technology recommendations (including planning for upgrades of existing technology)
* Good Communication Skills, i.e. Give presentations to other team members if required, to share understanding of the business, technology or knowledge of the system and to be able to give system demonstrations
