Sitec a Belcan company prides itself in providing opportunities for learning and development, the engineering apprentice scheme offered in conjunction with Weston College, provides fantastic opportunity for aspiring engineers. Our latest graduates pictured above (from left to right, Dominic Saint, Frank Spitzer, Ben Kent, Sophie Labuschagne, Connor O’Gara and Daniel Jones) attended their graduation along with their families to receive their BTEC Level 4, Higher National Certificate (HNC) in Engineering (Manufacturing Engineering) last month.
Frank Spitzer – “Weston College provided a fantastic environment to study and achieve this qualification, providing both high quality facilities to perform practical work and excellent lecturers to teach the theory elements. The understanding of manufacturing capabilities and general engineering knowledge that we have learnt on this course will massively benefit us in the work environment at Sitec, progressing all of our career aspirations as design engineers.”
Dominic Saint – “It was lovely for us all to have the opportunity to celebrate our graduation. From getting on our gowns, posing for our parents to the ceremony itself, it was a special day. It was great to see our Lead Lecturer (Alex Manfeild) there celebrating with us for all the hard work we have put in over the last 2 years, from the college and ourselves. Weston College put on a great ceremony which made it such a happy occasion for our families and Sitec to enjoy, a moment I will never to forget.”
