Job Description:

Sitec are currently looking to a Configuration Controller for a nuclear MoD establishment in Reading. The post is for an estimated 12 month contract and is paying circa £25-30.00 on an hourly basis.

Successful applicants will be required to be Security Cleared to top secret level prior to appointment. 

Job / Role Purpose

A support role to the Engineering element of the Project Delivery team.  The role supports the Configuration Manager to manage the configuration work load for the portfolio of projects within the Infrastructure. 

Key Accountabilities

Working as a key part of a small team delivering configuration management support to Project Managers in line with standards and regulatory requirements in a safe and secure manner. 

Key Responsibilities

Organise own work load to ensure that accurate baseline records of drawings are maintained throughout the life of the project. Data input into multiple master record indexes. 

Work with Engineers and Project Managers to manage and deliver documentation and drawings on time, inline with the project requirements. 

Work will be carried out in accordance within company procedures. 

Qualifications:

No specific qualifications considered, however degree level or equivalent Management and/or Engineering qualifications would be beneficial. 

Knowledge:

Knowledge of configuration or document control within a project environment is beneficial.

Knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (2004) or equivalent is required to intermediate level.

Knowledge of Meridian document management system or equivalent is required. 

Experience:

Experience of working with a high volume of data where a high level of accuracy is essential.

Experience of data input and document management.

Experience of working in team and managing stakeholders. 

Skills:

Ability to learn and work within a complex environment.

Good oral and written skills and the ability to constructively communicate with and influence all project stakeholders.

Ability to work both independently and within a small team.

Ability to manage and plan your own work load and the work of the team, when required.

Attention to detail and logical methodology of working.
