Sitec are currently looking to recruit an Asset Risk Manager for a nuclear MoD establishment in Reading. The post is for an estimated 12 month contract and is paying on an hourly basis.
Successful applicants will be required to be Security Cleared prior to appointment.
Job/Role Purpose
To lead delivery of Risk Management capability in support of the Site Utilities Asset Management Programme, specifically to assist the implementation of PAS 55 methodology across the Company Utility Networks.
Key Accountabilities
Facilitate and support implementation of the Company Risk processes to identified programme tasks, and contribute to improving risk management maturity with Site Utilities operations
Key Responsibilities
- To understand and apply responsibilities with regard to the Company’s Environment, Safety, Health, Quality and Security Standards
- To act as single point of contact (lead) to the Utilities Asset Manager and ensure a common and consistent approach to risk management is adopted, developed and demonstrated across the utilities asset.
- Provision of a timely and responsive risks management service which best supports programme delivery, providing high quality and timely risk information.
- To undertake modelling, three point estimation, schedules and risk registers in accordance with Company procedures and client requirements.
- Ensuring risk information is communicated in a timely and appropriate manner to interested stakeholders to ensure effective escalation of risk when necessary
- To facilitate risk identification workshops and development of registers.
- As a member of the Company Risk Function, to work with the Corporate Risk Manager, Business Resilience Team, Programme Risk Manager, Project Risk Manager, Risk Leads and other risk staff to establish and sustain an Enterprise approach to Risk Management and facilitate and support a move towards improved Risk Management maturity.
- Liaise with Confidence Modellers, where appropriate, to ensure the full value from implementation of risk management is achieved.
- Undertake, where necessary, development and improvement work to support continual improvement of the Company risk processes and support implementation where appropriate of Company Business Continuity processes.
Qualifications
- Numerate degree or equivalent (such as HNC/HND)
- Recognised professional qualification in risk management/Business Continuity and/or membership of a relevant professional institute is desirable
Knowledge
- Knowledge of Risk Management Principles and Practices, in particular to business as usual operations
- Broad knowledge of Corporate business requirements and processes, project management principles, and understanding of Confidence Modelling principles and practices and their implementation
- Knowledge of Company systems and processes, including Safety, Quality, Environment, Security & Health
- Knowledge of Asset Management techniques, Asset Risk Assessment and Asset Management
Experience
- Wide ranging experience in supporting the implementation and on going management of risk processes and tools within a large organisation, including Active Risk Manager (ARM).
- Experience working in a delivery focussed environment.
- Outline knowledge of project/programme principles.
- Developing and maintaining effective Customer relationships.
- Interfacing and reporting effectively with senior management across the business.
