Network Control Centre Analyst

Key Responsibilities

Assist in successful implementation and management of ongoing operations of our client’s centralized European Transport network.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Road freight from Supplier to clients plants (Less than Truckload, Full Truckload, Milk-runs, etc.)
• Proactively monitoring and resolving issues in daily transportation operations.
• Continuously analyzing/monitoring performance of Supply Chain partners, i.e. carriers, suppliers and plants via KPI process (Key Performance Indicators).
• Identifying and leading continuous improvement projects (knowledge of 6 Sigma / Lean an advantage but not essential).
• Updating and maintaining master data incl. supplier data, plant data and transit time information.
• Establishing and maintaining communications with carriers, suppliers, plants and other process partners in order to ensure operational issues are resolved on timely basis.
• Providing advice and direction to Caterpillar plants and other process partners on traffic matters (rates, services, carrier selection, reliability, etc) and ensuring availability of alternative transport services.
• Requires up to 20% travel to clients plants, suppliers and other client entities.

 Skills and Experience Required

Requires basic knowledge of inbound supply chain planning processes such as Material Planning, Purchase Order releases, Shipping, Receiving, etc.Strong consideration given to individuals who have previously supported system driven (Oracle TMS, i2, Paragon etc.) processes for an inbound to manufacturing transportation program.

Ideally candidate would have worked in a 6 Sigma project environment and led projects through DMAIC cycle, although this is not essential.
