We are a first-tier supplier to Airbus and as such we are involved in some of the most challenging and exciting aerospace projects in the world, including the A380, A320 Sharklet/NEO, A350XWB and A400M aircraft programmes.

The advertised position of Graduate Engineer is suited to a professional and highly motivated engineering graduate with, preferably, a degree in Aerospace/Aeronautical or Mechanical engineering or a related discipline.  The successful applicant would be placed within an experienced team on a contract with Airbus involved in customer support, product development and maintenance engineering.

The successful applicant would be responsible for:

  • interacting with Airbus personnel to ensure prompt delivery of appropriate repair guidance to the maintenance organisation
  • producing formal calculation reports and/or repair documentation for approval by Airbus and the Airworthiness Authorities

This would involve participation in one or more of the following disciplines:

  • performing detailed stress calculations using classical methods to check the structural integrity of proposed repair solutions
  • performing fatigue analysis to determine the impact of any repair solution on the aircraft maintenance programme

Preferably the applicant should also possess:

  • some knowledge of common aerospace design and manufacturing practices
  • experience of aerospace structures analysis and/or fatigue analysis
  • some experience of composite materials

Security

All candidates must be in a position to obtain UK security clearance to a minimum of BC level.
