Design Engineer

Sitec is looking for a Design Engineer for a prestigious client in the Aerospace industry. Our client is a leader in Composite and Metallic structures with projects in both the fixed and rotary wing aircraft and equally focused on military and civil markets.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills/abilities:

• 5 yrs post grad/qualified aerospace industry experience.
• CATIA V5 Fundamentals course
• Min 7500 hrs CATIA V5
• 4 years Aerospace structures design experience (composite structures preferable)
• 2 years surfacing experience minimum
• Mould tool design experience desirable
• Knowledge of basic composite fabric laminating processes.  (Tool preparation, clean room experience, cure processes)
• Good understanding of ‘concept’ through to ‘hardware’ processes
• The flexibility to adopt hands on approach to support design and manufacture of components is desirable.
• Practical working knowledge of workshop tools and equipment, i.e. drills, Bandsaw, lathe, m/c centres etc would be an advantage.
