Job Description:

Sitec are currently looking to recruit a Configuration Librarian for a nuclear MoD establishment in Reading. This post is for an estimated 12 month contract and is paying hourly up to £23.00 on a Limited basis. 

Successful applicants will be required to be Security Cleared prior to appointment. 

Job/Role Purpose:

Configuration Librarian for the Asset Information Services Centre (AISC) focussing on Configuration and version control of documentation and the engineering configuration baseline – specifically supporting the AISC projects team. 

Key Accountabilities:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meridian specialist – point of contact for the control and issue of facility documentation
  • Assisting with the production of Configuration Management Plans, (CMPs) – Identifying where documents currently reside to aid the migration into the AISC repositories.
  • Production of Change Management (FMF) report
  • Representation at Asset Information Services Centre (AISC) Steering Committee
  • Analysing FMF changes to ensure the engineering baseline is updated and AISC stakeholders (CAD, GIS, AMS etc.) are aware of modifications and changes
  • To provide administrative support to AISC group
  • Attend project meetings. that have a relevance to the Configuration Management of information
  • Ensure continuous improvement of processes and procedures through review, learn, and improve
  • Supporting AISC Project teams in the production of CMP’s and collating appropriate data for migration into Meridian Facility Vaults

Qualifications and Experience

  • Good standard of education including Maths and English or suitable
  • Experience of working in a configuration or document control related role.

Preferred:

  • NVQ Business Administration or equivalent
  • Relevant configuration qualification

Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of business management processes.
  • Knowledge of change and configuration control procedures.
  • Knowledge of quality management system.
  • Knowledge of reporting and analysing

Experience:

  • Documentation, configuration and information management experience

Skills:

  • Good written and verbal skills
  • Ability to organise, prioritise and multi-task, maintaining effectiveness
  • PC literate and skilled in the use of required software.
