Lab Technologist

Sitec urgently require an experienced Laboratory Technologist for an estimated 12 month contract in Inchinnan.

An opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated, individual to join the Technical Team within the Manufacturing Laboratory.
The facility manufactures a range of gas turbine compressor blades and vanes for a variety of civil and military applications.
The purpose of this position is to provide technical support to seven Special Processes. (Heat Treatment, Chemical Machining, Electro-Discharge Machining, Welding, Peening, Thermal Spray and NDE) ensuring compliance to specification and the Quality Manual.

Essential Skills/Experience
*Strong understanding of Metallurgy
*Understanding of Materials

Desirable Skills/Experience
Ideally you will be qualified to degree level in Materials Science, Metallurgy of an appropriate Engineering discipline.
Good written and verbal communication skills are essential coupled with a data driven and structured approach to problem solving.
